Twin Cities Arts & Crafts Show Set To Open This Weekend

Twin Cities Arts & Crafts Show Set To Open This Weekend

The 11th Annual Twin Cities Arts and Crafts Show and Sale will be held at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds this Saturday, September 25th and Sunday, September 26th.

Considered the largest event in the Midwest dedicated to the furniture and accessories of the American Arts & Crafts Movement, the show features furniture, metalwork, pottery, textiles, art and lighting.

"People can expect to find everything from Stickley, Limbert, Roycroft, Rookwood and the esteemed Minneapolis Handicraft Guild," commented Brian Smith and Cam Quintal, the show's organizers and owners of Eastwood Gallery. "High quality reproductions will be for sale as well. The nations leading dealers will be on hand to answer questions and advise on how to decorate your home."

"We are pleased to announce two very special presentations on Saturday morning that are free with paid admission to the show. First at 10:30am, James Morabito will give a presentation entitled, 'The Journey of Edward Curtis.' A New York native and Minneapolis resident, James Morabito, has been an avid lifetime collector and an antique dealer, Mobius Antiques, for over 15 years. The presentation will explore the incredible accomplishments of the famed photographer and historian."

"At 11:30am, Mike Nickel, A Nickel’s Worth, a veteran dealer of art pottery will give presentation, 'Making Art Pottery an Important Part of your Arts & Crafts Collection.' Mike has co-authored three ceramics books, is working on a fourth, and has been a full-time purveyor of American Ceramics since 1989."

"Now celebrating our 11th Anniversary, we are continuing to grow this show into one of the premier Arts & Crafts Shows in the country. We are excited to have over 50 dealers from across the country exhibiting the highest quality antique and contemporary furnishings from the Arts and Crafts Movement. The Twin Cities has proven to be a welcoming host for this fantastic show. Attendees from across the country look forward to this show every year."
