Additionally included in the sale are a collection of Hunter Studios furniture; works by George Nakashima; designs by Ico and Luisa Parisi, Gio Ponti and Bertha Schaeffer for Singer & Sons and others. Stained glass windows from the Boston firm Wilbur H. Burnham Studios, a collection of mid-century textiles from Elenhank Design, and a collection of jewelry by Taxco, Mexico silversmiths William Spratling, Margot de Taxco, Antonio Pineda, Matilda Eugenia Poulet, Fred Davis, and Hector Aguilar round out the auction.

In conjunction with the auction, Skinner Auctioneers will also host a special discussion in their gallery for those local interested collectors in the Boston area. Meet the Makers will take place Wednesday, June 19th and includes a discussion and overview of the New England Studio Furniture Movement with Owain Harris, instructor at the Center for Furniture Craftsmanship in Maine and a New Hampshire Furniture Masters ISFD Pinnacle Award winner. Interested collectors can expect to learn about the influential furniture makers in the region’s design market. The reception begins at 5:30 and the discussion starts at 6 PM in the Boston Gallery.
