“These five sessions take a deep dive into the formative period in Gustav Stickley’s career & explore & choices & decisions that marked his transformation as a designer over his early Arts & Crafts period. By looking at the paths he chose–as well as those avenues he abandoned–we will arrive at a better understanding of Stickley’s history, his aesthetic, & how the movement flourished in the early twentieth century.”
The instructor is Jonathan Clancy, the Director of Collections & Preservation at the Stickley Museum at Craftsman Farms.
