Conference Week: Monday

When it gets to Monday of Conference Week, people have just one main question:

“What’s the weather going to be like?”

Well, yesterday a flock of robins made their first appearance in our woods, and a few brave jonquils have poked up through the wet leaves, but they have both been fooled a few times in the past, so here’s the latest online forecast:

Monday:  High 58 degrees, Low 39 degrees. 20% chance of rain in morning.

Tuesday: High 50 degrees, Low 39 degrees. 30% chance of rain. Drizzle.

Wednesday: High 65 degrees, Low 50 degrees. 50% chance of rain in afternoon.

Thursday: High 74 degrees, Low 51 degrees. 20% chance of rain. Mostly cloudy.

Friday: High 67 degrees, Low 35 degrees. 60% chance of rain in afternoon.

Saturday: High 47 degrees, Low 37 degrees. 40% chance of rain in morning.

Sunday: High 53 degrees, Low 41 degrees. 20% chance of rain in afternoon.

I don’t know about you, but given the weather we have experienced these past two months, I’ll take that.

Today is the first of two moving days for Kate and me. I have our horse trailer filled with boxes, tubs, totes, signs, badges, more tubs, more signs, books, magazines, registration materials, catalogs, and posters. I will be driving it up to the Grove Park Inn at eight o’clock. The hotel has a food show scheduled for Tuesday, so I want to get all of our materials unloaded into our storage areas before they start arriving for their setup this afternoon.

Then I’ll head back to our office and finish up loose ends, of which there are always a few.

Check back tomorrow for another conference update.

Many thanks,

Bruce
