This sale features furniture and decorative objects spanning the 20th century. Skinner will be auctioning the collection of Corey Warn and Mark Feldman, the late proprietors of Antiquers III in Brookline, Massachusetts which specialized in Art Deco furniture and decorative arts. Offerings from this collection include an extensive collection of Charles Schneider Le Verre Francais cameo art glass and furniture with provenance from John Lennon & Yoko Ono and Walter P. Chrysler. Other exciting lots include an Art Deco frieze panel depicting art and music motifs which adorned New York City’s Barbizon Hotel and a rare Rene Lalique butterscotch “Perruches” vase. Furniture to be sold includes works designed by Hans J. Wegner, Ray & Charles Eames, George Nelson, Harry Bertoia, Warren Platner, Bill Stephens, Vladimir Kagan, Paul Evans and Philip & Kelvin Laverne. We are also pleased to be offering UK studio craft from potter Dame Lucie Rie and jeweler Wendy Ramshaw. American studio furniture maker Jere Osgood and glass blower Dale Chihuly will also be represented. Lastly, we are proud to bring a rare Judy Kensley McKie “Ibis Ascending” bronze maquette to market.

Lot 152: Five Motawi Tileworks Tiles

Michigan, early 21st century, a diptych depicting a river landscape, impressed “Motawi Tileworks Ann Arbor MI,” sight size 6 x 12, framed 17 x 21 1/2; an abstract floral, sight size 6 x 6, frame 20 x 14 1/4; and a pair depicting abstract tulips, sight size 4 x 4, frame 7 1/4 x 7 1/4 in., in custom oak frames.

Lot 157: Dirk Van Erp (American, 1860-1933) Hammered Copper Lamp with Mica Shade

Out of San Francisco, California

This weekend, the AcStickley Arts & Crafts Auction will start this Saturday,December 14th 11am PST at California Historical Design in Alameda, CA. This auction will feature works by Gustav Stickley and Newcomb College, Limbert, Mathews Furniture Shop, Bernard Maybeck, Roycroft, the Stickley Brothers, Fulper Pottery and more.
