Details Announced for AAPA Convention
The American Art Pottery Association will hold its annual Convention, Show and Sale April 26th to April 29th in Cleveland/Independence, Ohio. The convention schedule, including seminars and tours, is listed below. For additional information simply go to www.AAPA.info.

Wednesday, April 26th
7:00am – Registration desk opens in the host hotel lobby
8:45am – 6:00pm – Tour of Playhouse Square and the Cleveland Museum of Art.
7:00pm – Welcome Reception/Cocktail Hour at the host hotel (cash bar)
Thursday, April 27th
9:00am – 9:45am – Seminar: “The Everson Strikes Back…” Presented By DJ Hellerman.
10:00am – 10:45am – Seminar: “It’s about the Clay: Documenting 20th-Century American Studio Pottery.” Presented By Martha Vida.
11:15am – 5:00pm – Tour of Cowan Pottery Museum.
6:30pm – 9:30pm – Banquet at St. Sava Church.
Friday, April 28th
9:00am – 9:45am – Seminar: “Architectural Ceramics: Conservation and Installation Methods for Glazed Ceramic Relief Murals.” Presented By Mark Erdmann.
5:00pm – 7:00pm – AAPA Show and Sale open for Convention Registered Members Only.
Saturday, April 29th
9:00am – 4:00pm – AAPA Pottery Show and Sale opens at St. Sava Hall.
The Embassy Suites Cleveland/Rockside Independence will serve as the host hotel. This beautiful all-suites hotel is located at 5800 Rockside Woods Blvd. N., Independence, Ohio, at the intersection of I-480 and I-77. It is just 10 minutes from downtown Cleveland and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
The special room rate for the convention will be $129.00 per night, which includes a complete breakfast buffet and an early evening manager’s reception featuring drinks and light snacks.
