We’ve got news of two Golden events for Arts and Crafts collectors. One in the Golden State and one in Golden, Colorado, that is. If you’re a collector or enthusiast of art pottery or celebrating the arts & crafts movement in Colorado, we have good news for you…
On Saturday, March 9th, the city of Glendale, California will host the 20th Annual Los Angeles Pottery Show 2019, the largest art pottery event on the West Coast. Running from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm and on Sunday, March 10th from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm at the Glendale Civic Auditorium, attendees can expect to see over 10,000 square feet filled with exhibitors specializing in antiques, vintage and contemporary handmade art pottery. Antiques Roadshow appraiser. antiques expert and author David Rago from Rago Arts will be on hand to appraise antique and vintage art pottery for a nominal donation of $10 per item. The event will also feature live music on both days by harpist Leila Ariel and classical acoustic guitarist Ramon Cruz.
Admission is $15 at the door, good for both days of the show. Minor age under 18 children get in free with paid adult admission.

The Colorado Arts & Crafts Society will hold their annual Gathering of the Guilds Show & Sale in downtown Golden, Colorado, an annual celebration of the arts and crafts movement, where local guilds and artisans can assemble to celebrate their crafts. The Show & Sale will take place at the American Mountaineering Center at 710 10th Street in downtown Golden, Colorado on April 14th, 2019 from 10am to 4pm. General Admission is $5
Featuring professional artists, metalsmiths, potters, woodworkers and weavers, the show and sale will include art, antiques, book binding, calligraphy, ceramics, distilling, fiber, furniture, glass, jewelry, paper, textiles, and more. The event will also show demonstrations, workshops and presentations throughout the day.
The Colorado Arts & Crafts Society (CACS) is a non-profit volunteer organization dedicated to the preservation and study of the Arts and Crafts Movement (1880-1920) in Colorado and nationwide. CACS is committed to the revival of this movement and the artisans working today that are inspired by the past. Members promote this rich cultural heritage through presentations and workshops, the annual Winter Symposium, field trips and walking tours. The group’s most celebrated event each year, however, is the Gathering of the Guilds Show & Sale, featuring the best in local craftsmanship.
