Early 20th Century Works Up for Bid at Rago Arts

On May 18th, Rago Arts and Auctions will offer works of decorative art, glassworks and furniture during their Early 20th Century Design auction – previews will run through May 17th and the doors will open at 9:00 am to the public at their gallery in Lambertville, New Jersey. Bidders may also place their bids online through Bidsquare.com, over-the-phone or through absentee bids.

Highlighting 55 lots of works from ceramic and glass artist Rene Buthaud owned previously by collector Stephen Engel and a rare cobra mirrored console table estimated to sell in between $150,000 – $250,000, the auction will additionally show furniture by Gustav Stickley and L. and J.G. Stickley, lamps from Tiffany Studios and Dirk Van Erp, pottery and assorted glassworks from Galle, Grueby, Teco, George Ohr, Rookwood, Newcomb College, Van Briggle and more.
