Antique shopping and reconnecting with your family of collectors? Experience the annual tradition for so many collectors and enthusiasts in the Midwest and join your collector friends in Minnesota as the 24th Annual Twin Cities Arts & Crafts 20th Century Design Show and Sale kicks off this weekend, September 21st! Running through the 22nd, this annual show and sale remains the largest event in the Midwest region featuring mission furniture and accessories of the American Arts and Crafts Movement; among the selections offered to the excited showgoers are metalwork, pottery, textiles, art, furniture and lighting at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds.

New location

While the 24th annual show will continue its legacy at the Minnesota National Fairgrounds, the show will be in a new building! The North End Event Center (click here for a Google Map of the building) is still located off Snelling Avenue much like the Fine Arts Building, the building that held the annual show. The highly rated event center and indoor venue features easy access parking.

This year, the 24th annual Twin Cities Arts & Crafts Show will be move from the Fine Arts Building (pictured) to the North End Event Center on the grounds of the Minnesota State Fairgrounds.

This year’s Twin Cities Arts & Crafts 20 Century Design Show and Sale is once again excited to have some of the foremost galleries, crafts people and dealers in the country – offering a rare opportunity to compare and contrast some of the best examples of Arts & Crafts handiwork, all at one time and all in one building.

According to the Show website, the exhibitors listed to appear are:

New Demonstrations

Both are on Saturday, September 21. First, at 11 am, George Sorensen of George Sorensen Antiques, will talk about Collecting French Art Glass. He will focus on: what is French cameo glass, production period and popularity, what to look for when buying and identifying reproductions. Then at 11:30 am, Scott Watson with Portobello Road Antiques, will talk on Collecting and Caring for Native American Baskets. He will focus on Southwest and Southern California baskets, but will touch on other popular collecting regions. Both talks are free with admission to the show and will be held in their respective booths.
