Gustav Stickley

Named the Father of American Furniture, Gustav Stickley was an American furniture manufacturer, influential designer, publisher and a strong leader of the American Arts and Crafts movement. Known for his variety of handcrafted works most notably for furniture, Gustav began to offer middle class consumers a host of progressive furniture designs through his publication The Craftsman helping to push the philosophies as well as his handcrafted items.
