Constructed in 1907 and enlarged in 1914, this building, which was designed by William Channing Whitney, provided a place for its members to work, exhibit and sell their wares. This guild was the forerunner to the Minneapolis Arts and Crafts Society and was an outgrowth of the Minneapolis Chalk and Chisel Club, which was the nation’s earliest Arts & Crafts organization.
