Naulakha (Rudyard Kipling HouseMarch 15, 2017
Author Rudyard Kipling, who reportedly knew William Morris, commissioned architect Henry Marshall to design a Shingle style house for him in 1892. Although some of his best known work was produced when he lived at Naulakha, Kipling moved his family back to England in 1896, after which the house fell into disrepair. It has since been restored to how it appeared when Kipling lived in it. However, it is only open to the public on special occasions.
